Now consider how to determine the swirling strength.Usually we use angular velocity to specify the rotational speed.But aV/aX and aU/aY includes both angular velocity part and deformation part.We should separate angular velocity from deformation part.First type:the vorticity lines start/end in theside boundaries。According to vorticity conservation law,the vorticitylines cannot interrupt,start or end,inside the domainbut can only have one form without exception,which isself-closed vorticity rings.
