Tree composition of a Warm-Temperate Deciduous Forest in North China
Warm-temperate deciduous forest is one of the main forest types in the world, locates in the range of 32°30′-42°30′N, 103°30′-124°10′E, and is one of the essential forest types on the latitudinal gradient.Dongling Mountain 20 hm2 Forest Dynamics Plot was established in the deciduous forests of the Dongling Mountain Area in North China, for monitoring biodiversity and studying biodiversity maintenance mechanisms of warm-temperate forests under global change. In 2010,all individuals with stem diameter at breast height(DBH)≥1 cm in the plot were mapped, tagged and identified to species. In total,53,682 individuals belonging to 58 species, 35 genera and 22 families were recorded.
