Using One-to-one Computing and Flipped Classroom Approach in Facilitating Primary Students” Learning in Mathematics in Singapore
There has been a growing interest in the area of flipped classroom or flipped learning in recent years by educators.Many research studies were conducted with high school and university students to find out more about this learning strategy and how it could enable learners and educators in the teaching and learning process.The purpose of this study was to investigate the students” achievements with the use of flipped classroom approach and/or one-to-one computing to facilitate their learning of Fractions in Primary Three Mathematics classrooms in Singapore.A total of 78 Primary Three students voluntarily participated in this study.The preliminary data analysis showed that the means of the students” performance increased significantly from pre-test to post-test and retention test in all three groups.
