Droplet epitaxy of InPBi quantum dots

Quantum dot(QD) growth usually requires large lattice mismatch in the mode of the Stranski-Krastanov growth ”1,2”,which makes InPBi QDs difficult to be grown on InP by regular methods.However,with droplet epitaxial growth which can be performed regardless of lattice mismatch ”3”,a series of InPBi QDs were realized on InP under different temperatures.Surface morphology were characterized by atomic force microscopy(AFM).
