Molecules of methanol steam reforming reaction adsorption on Cu-Al spinel surfaces

Methanol steam reforming is an efficient way for hydrogen production.The spinel aluminates,CuAl2O4 of cubic structure,show excellent stability for methanol steam reforming reaction,since the active Cu atoms could be gradually released during the reaction.Investigation into the adsorptions of the reactants in the methanol steaming reforming reaction,e.g.methanol,water,hydrogen,carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide,is of the most fundamental for understanding the reaction mechanisms.
