Progress of Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) Production Technology in China

摘要：

　　This paper presents the new progress of ADI production technology in China,including(1)the rapid development of CADI grinding balls;(2)heavy-duty truck chassis parts as a possible new growth point of ADI output;(3)the breakthrough achievement in the application of ADI(CADI)for wear-resistant parts;(4)the significant contribution made by the establishment of an austempered heat treatment center,along with stable quality and reasonable prices;(5)the resurging confidence of using ADI gears and crankshafts due to the improvement of metal charge quality and blank castings quality in ductile iron production;(6)the progress in ADI production technology despite the many urgent problems remaining to be solved such as unstable and inconsistent quality.Finally,the development direction of ADI is predicted.
