The Differences between Computer-Mediated Communication and Face-to-Face Communication in the Intercultural Communication Context

1.Introduction As a result of the development of Internet Technology and globalisation,communication between individuals and communities from different cultures is becoming more and more widespread.A number of studies of the differences between communicating via the Internet and communicating face to face have been conducted.Earlier Studies have focused on the features of CMC discourse compared to face-to-face communication(Warschaner,1995;Ko,1996;Condon & Cech,1996).
