Variations of Crustal Shear Wave Velocity and Radial Anisotropy beneath Cameroon and Tectonic Implications

To advance understanding of crustal structure, deformation and flow patterns resulting from tectonicprocesses in Cameroon,we study the variability of crustal isotropic velocity and radial anisotropy estimatedfrom ambient noise tomography.Rayleigh and Love wave Noise Correlation Functions(NCFs) were retrievedfrom cross correlation of both vertical and transverse component of seismic ambient noise data recorded bythirty two broadband seismic stations in Cameroon.Subsequently,we measure Rayleigh and Love wave phasevelocities in the period band of 6 to 30 s and perform surface wave tomography on a 0.5° × 0.5°grid to obtain2-D phase velocity distribution maps.
