Similitude Analysis of Vibration and Underwater Radiated Sound for Immersed Cylindrical Shells
In this paper,Buckingham”s complete-similitude theorem as well as finite element method are used to analyze the similitude considerations and relations of vibration and radiated sound for cylindrical shells underwater.Models of analogous cylindrical shells are established based on FEM/BEM method to verify the similitude laws obtained.Resulting Dynamic characteristics present great consistency in similitude relations between the two models. This shows that combination of the software ANSYS and Virtual.Lab can be a good approach to analyzing coupled vibration and underwater acoustic field and that application of similitude analysis into practical engineering can alternatively replace prototype tests to some extent with desirable results.
