An Angular Displacement Sensor based on TMR and Time Grating
Aiming at the trouble of handmade coils and the error caused by the winding distribution uneven in traditional time grating sensor.This paper introduces a new type of angular displacement sensor which is suitable to work in harsh industrial environments and have superior performance on simple structure.The sensor consisting of three parts: a special gear,two groups of TMR which matched with permanent magnet and the signal processing system of Time grating.The structure and working principles of the sensor are simulated and analyzed.The output signal of TMR has a good sin property and has the same frequency with the changing magnetic field.At last actual experiment results are given and analyzed,showing that the angle displacement can be measured by determing the time difference between the traveling wave and reference signal and the linear coefficient between the rotation angle and time difference is 0.05.
