Modern agricultural production is dependent on the use of fungicides to avoid yield and quality losses due to fungal diseases;thus fungicides are important to complement other means of control like genetic resistance and cultural techniques.Intensive use of chemical control measures has however led to its own challenges, including selection for fungicide resistance in many pathogens.
