An H-shape dielectric resonator antenna with U-slot on the patch
(0) An H-shape dielectric resonator antenna with U-slot on the patch is proposed in this paper, the H-shape dielectric resonator is mounted on the vertical ground plane edge.The U-slot is etched on the patch antenna to obtain the isolation from WLAN frequency (5.125GHz-5.825GHz).The frequency bands in the condition of S11 ≤ -10dB are from 3.61GHz to 4.80GHz and from 6.05GHz to 9.56GHz, respectively, and the bandwidths and gain can satisfy the detection requirement, this kind of antenna can be used to detect breast tumor due to its dielectric resonator constant is 10.2 which is very close to breast fat.
