The link between ethnographic and archaeological textile research

First step: an ethnographic and technological study of traditional ethnic figured weaving in South western China;is there a link with archaeological textiles?In the mid 1990s, we found a 19th century wedding bedeover, woven in a complex supplementary weft-patterned tabby(p í ngd ì w(e)ihu(a) zh ī w ù 平地纬花织物)technique by the Dong/Kam ethnic people of Liping District in Guizhou Province in south-western China.
