Epidemiological Investigation of FGID and Sleeping Disorder in Tianjin Region -Result from a Multi-center Study

Aim: It is common for a patient to complain both symptoms of FGID, mental disorder and sleeping disorder in clinic.The relationship between FGID and mental disorder has been studied thoroughly.While the relationship between FGID and mental disorder has not been well known.The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between FGID and sleeping disorder in Tianjin region.Methods: This is a multi-center study, 1200 patients having symptoms of FGID in out-patients clinic of 6 center (200 patients per center) during February and December of 2014 were asked to answer symptom questionnaire of FGID (according to ROMEⅢ standard) and were assessed mental state (by Zung Self-rating Depression Scale, SDS and Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale, SAS) and sleep quality (by Pittsburgh sleep quality index,PSQI).Patients who were diagnosed by digestive system organic disease or other systemic diseases were excluded.
