CT-guided Intracavitary Brachytherapy for Advanced Cervical Cancer: a prospective study

摘要：

　　Objective: To assess the efficacy and toxicity of Computed tomography (CT)-guided high-dose-rate intracavitary brachytherapy (HDR-ICBT) for patients with advanced cervical cancer.Patients and methods: 143 consecutive patients with stage Ⅰ B2-Ⅲ B cervical cancer were included in this prospective study.CT-guided intracavitary brachytherapy (CT-BT group) and conventional brachytherapy (c-BT group) were randomly performed in 71 and 72 patients,respectively.High-dose-rate source iridium-192 was used with standard intracavitary applicators.
