Comparison of three analytical methods for concentration of protein fractions in cecreal and legume seeds
The features of Nessler method, Bradford and Biuret method were compared with those of Kjeldahl method as they applied to determination of concentration of protein fractions in cereal and legume seeds. All these methods achieved similar good repeatability and reproducibility.RSD among them was always below 2%.Taking Kjeldahl method as a calibration, the results show that Bradford and Biuret method is an alternative owing to its accuracy, low cost, rapidness and environmental suitability.Nessler method is also capable of replacing for routine crop protein concent analysis appropriate constant volume solution was recommended considering the use of toxic reagents in this experiment, from the point of view of toxic reagent needed and wastewater generated.
