摘要：

I use”complex sound”to refer to anything that is thought to be a single sound but seems more complicated than a regular sound.There are two sets of cases.The first includes units that are transcribed with two or more IPA symbols,such as”ts”,”t∫”,”ks”,”nd”,”kw”,”pr”,and”(kp)”.The second includes sounds that are transcribed with a single IPA symbol but require a sequence of gestural actions,such as”!”and”(6)”.
