Application of Reduced Graphene Oxide Modified Electrode for Detecting the Effects of Nano-sized α-Al2O3 and γ-AIOOH on the Alcohol Dehydrogenase and Glutathione Reductase
Recently, Song et al.explored that aluminum ions can induce the formation of backbone ring structures in a wide range of peptides, including neurodegenerative disease related motifs. It is worrying that aluminum compounds may enter human body by various routes, leading to several diseases. Some coenzyme-dependent dehydrogenases such as alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and glutathione reductase (GR) are critical enzymes both in plants and animals. For example, ADH has been well studied for its applications in wine and beer production and biotechnological process for the bioconversion of different organic wastes into ethanol.
