A precision edge filter interrogation system for mine fiber Bragg grating micro-seismic sensors
The edge filter approach is applicable to interrogating mine fiber Bragg grating (FBG) micro-seismic sensors. This paper presents the design and implementation of a precision edge filter interrogation system using digital signal processing DSP).The technical details including automatic gain trans-impedance amplifier, low-noise drive circuit, and working point control unit are introduced. The results show that the system achieves a low-limit frequency of 0.5 Hz and a working-point control accuracy of 0.1%.The peak power consumption reduces to ~3 W while the channel density is doubled. And it is expected to be used in underground fiber optic micro-seismic station.
