　　Rainwater hast to be protected! It is essential for our drinking water supplies.By following a step-by-step Rainwater Management workflow Landscape Architects can contribute to improve the environment.In the year of 2015 many technologies and new materials are available to return clean water back to the natural Hydrological Cycle.Digital grading with a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is in the centre of a process the author calls landscaping SMART.This process plays an important role for a modern Rainwater Management.Landscape Architecture students have to be trained to be rainwater managers.In a workshop at SEU this year students for the first time applied landscaping SMART as part of Rainwater Management.
