The Application of Improved Variable Density Method in Topological and Traffic Flow Optimization
Topology optimization problem, also the traffic flow problem is transformed to topology optimization, is solved by the application of the improved variable density method.Considering the imperfection of the traditional variable density method for penalty function, a new penalty function is proposed in this paper.The corresponding Optimality Criteria method is derived.Considering the numerical instabilities, such as checkerboards and mesh dependencies, a new hybrid filtering method is presented, which can eliminate numerical problems effectively.The methodologies for topological optimization presented in this paper are programmed using MATLAB.The validity of the methodologies :of this paper is proved by several illustrated examples.
