Performance Assessment of GPS/BeiDou Pseudorange Single Point Positioning in Typical Occlusion Environments
With the formal operation of BeiDou satellite navigation system,and about 120 satellites will be available once all global navigation satellite systems(GNSSs)in the next few years,multi-constellation GNSSs with positioning will become the trend of GNSSs positioning in the future.A preliminary study and analyzes the GPS/BeiDou system SPP positioning performance including number of visible satellites(NVS),position dilution of precision(PDOP)and positioning accuracy,are conducted using the full simulation constellation data of GPS and BeiDou in this paper.The test shows that,single navigation system fails to carry out continuous positioning due to lack of visible satellites causes by the nearby buildings blocking in typical occlusion environments,poor geometry,GPS/BeiDou integration has a large number of visible satellites,low PODP value,and a high level of positioning accuracy.
