The Small Wineries Role in the Development of Italian Wine Industry
Italy is traditionally one of most important wine producers countries in the world.The Italian industry is based on small wineries: the largest part of wine is produced by farms with small dimensions.This kind of farm presents points of strengths and points of weakness.The main point of strengths is the flexibility of organization of work: normally this farms are family farms which income is coming from wine production.So full attention is paid to the needs of production, with the use human resources dictated by physiological evolution of fruits and according weather conditions.The second aspect is connected to the fact that labour is used till average productivity of it is equal to salary rate, than in farms with employees labour is used till the marginal productivity of labour is equal to salary rate.
