BACKGROUND: Growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) is not expressed in the normal cadiomyocytes, but under the stress such as ischemia or pressure overload, the expression of GDF-15 may be increased.This study aimed to investigate the changes and the short-term prognosis value of GDF-15 in the elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
