Emerging Trends in US Long-Term Care Services: The Experience of Oregon
Oregon stands at the forefront of a national shift toward the widespread use of community based care (CBC) options such as assisted living, residential care, and adult foster homes to provide long-term care services. At the same time, ssacrificed nursing facilities (SNFs) increasingly serve as transitional centers of post-acute rehabilitative care. While the move toward CBC is well-documented and celebrated, the evolving SNF marketplace has received considerably less attention.
