Relationship between Bone Loss and Coronary Artery Disease: A Meta-analysis
BACKGOUND: Laboratory and observational studies suggest that both bone loss and coronary artery disease (CAD) are agerelated processes. However, although most of previous studies indicated that osteoporosis was a disease for older women, accelerated bone loss also occurred in old men.Several studies have proved the relationship between osteoporosis and coronary artery calcification, but it remains a matter of debate. The objective of study was to investigate the relationship between bone loss and coronary artery disease.
