Renal Function Decline as a Factor for Predicting CVD Risk in Various Populations
BACKGOUND: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is generally considered an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD) development, but rates in individuals with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) > 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 are uncertain.The purpose of this study was to examine the association between eGFR and Framingham global CVD risk score (FRS) in a Chinese population with no CKD or CVD.
