Age-related Changes of Biological Activity Factors in Beagles Gastric Mucous

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of aging on the biological activity factors which were associated with gastric mucosal defense and repair METHODS: Nineteen healthy Beagles were divided into three groups: young group (≤6y, n =8), junior elderly group (6 ＜ x ＜ 9y, n =5), senior elderly group (≥9y, n =6).We detected some biological activity factors, including MDA, MPO, LPO by TBA assay, NO by nitrate reductase.Survivin, PTEN, CGRP,VEGF, close junction protein ZO-1, COX-1, COX-2, Caspase-3,Caspase-9 and telomerase levels were detected by Elisa assay.
