OBJECTIVE: The paper aimed to investigate the effect of klotho (KL) gene on myocardial hypertrophy induced by basic fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) and its mechanism.METHODS: Cultured H9c2 rat cardiomyocytes were transfected by liposome-mediated mouse KL gene.FGF-2 induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy was used as the model in this research.
