The Value of Microvolt T-wave Alternans for the Prediction of Mortality in Heart Failure Patients: A Meta-analysis
OBJECTIVE: A meta-analysis of the value of microvolt T-wave alternans (MTWA) testing for test severe arrhythmic events was conducted to predict mortality in heart failure patients.METHODS: Prospective studies of the predictive value of exercise-induced MTWA published between January 1990 and February 2014 were retrieved.Heterogeneity was analyzed with x2 and I2.Pooled hazard ratio (HR) as the effect indicator and 95％confidence interval were used to estimate the association of MTWA and risk of severe arrhythmic events and death by fixed effect model (inverse variance method).
