BACKGROUND: Most elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were in advanced stage, and could not undergo operation.This study aimed to analyze the efficacy and toxicity of gemcitabine plus cisplatinum in comparison with gemcitabine alone in patients aged 70 years or over with advanced NSCLC.
