BACKGROUND: How to confirm the pathological characteristics of mediastinal lesions is one of the difficult problems for thoracic surgeons.This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in qualitative diagnosis of mediastinal lesions or mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
