The Relationship between Serum Levels of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 and Cystatin C and Diabetic Nephropathy in Elderly Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
BACKGROUD: Diabetic nephropathy (diabetic nephropathy, DN) is a common chronic complications of diabetes, and it has become a major clinical cause of chronic renal failure.Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) is a multifunctional regulator of cell proliferation, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of DN.This study aimed to investigate the relationship between changes of serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and cystatin C levels in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
