Changes and Clinical Significance of Serum Hepcidin--25 and Iron Metabolism Index in Acute Ischemic Stroke

BACKGROUND: Dysregulated iron metabolism has been suspected to be linked to atherosclerosis and to cardiovascular disease (CVD).For the purpose of clarifying the relationship between dysregulated iron metabolism and acute ischemic stroke, this studyr aimed to evaluate change of serum hepcidin-25 and iron metabolism index in acute ischemic stroke patients and analyze their relationship with the severity and early prognosis of the disease.
