Research on the Relationship between Inflammatory Reaction of Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaque and Serum Bilirubin

摘要：

BACKGROUD: There has been a lot of evidence showing that the main cause of cardiovascular event is the instability of plaque.Inflammatory reaction is one of the major causes of its instability.With the development of molecular imaging techniques, and through 18F-FDG positron emission tomographic imaging (PET-CT) we can apply noninvasive techniques to quantitatively monitor the degree of inflammatory reaction in carotid plaques.Serum bilirubin has been considered as a harmful metabolite.
