BACKGROUND: Middle cerebral artery stenosis is an important cause of ischemic stroke.In our clinical work, we often come across middle cerebral artery stenosis in young male patients who have only one risk factor of smoking.This study was designed to investigate the relationship between smoking and middle cerebral arterial stenosis as well as the onset age of ischemic stroke.
