A Preliminary Study of Prediction of Cog-12 to the Deterioration of Cognition in the Elderly

BACKGROUND: Due in part to the lack of brief measures, Alzheimer disease (AD) and other dementias were underdiagnosed in the community.There had been some studies confirming the value of Cog-12 in cognitive function screen, therefore, the value of this scale was validated to predict the deterioration of cognitive in the elderly.As Cog-12 was composed of two parts, scores of each part of the scale and total score were analyzed in this study.
