Early Prediction of Cerebral Infarction Risk after TIA with ABCD2 Score and hs-CRP

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to explore the predictive value of ABCD2 score combined with high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) for early cerebral infarction risk in transient ischemic attack (TIA) patients.METHODS: TIA patients (n=192) were divided into low risk group (n=l 13) and moderate to high risk group (n=79) according to the ABCD2 scores.Clinical data and laboratory test results were collected. The 7d and 90d incidence of cerebral infarction after the presence of TIA was observed. The patients were then divided into hs-CRP≤3.0 mg/L group and hs-CRP>3.0 m/L group according to their serum hs-CRP levels, and we observed the 7d and 90d incidence of cerebral infarction.Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) were used to calculate the area under the curve (AUC) and to evaluate the performance of ABCD2 scores group, hs-CRP group and ABCD2 scores group combined with hs-CRP group in predicting cerebral infarction.
