BACKGROUND: The detection rate of carotid artery plaque in aging population increased every year, especially vulnerable plaque.The role of statins in atherosclerosis has been confirmed by many research institutes in recent years.This study aimed to observe the clinical effects of rosuvastatin on carotid vulnerable plaque in the elderly patients.
