Combination of Pulse Wave Velocity and Retinal Artery Lesions to Predict Coronary Artery Disease in Chinese Elderly Patients
BACKGROUND: Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) is a simple and non-invasive method of evaluating arterial stiffness and coronary artery disease (CAD).Retinal atherosclerotic changes are associated with the atherosclerotic changes of coronary arteries. The aim of this study was to determine whether the combination of baPWV and retinal artery lesions can be a useful approach to predict CAD in Chinese elderly patients.
