The Age Tendency of Serum Lipids Level and Lipid Goal Attainment in the Elderly

BACKGROUND: As we have less robust evidence to guide the management of dyslipidemia in older patients, especially for those aged 75 years and older, the elderly share the same therapeutic goal with younger adults in our guideline.However, the elderly often have multiple comorbidities and show less tolerance with lipid lowering drugs.Therefore, the aim of this study was to understand the management of dyslipidemia in the elderly by investigating the relationship of serum lipids level and lipid goal attainment with ageing.
