Leptin Levels and the Relationship between Leptin and Diabetes-Related Factors in Alzheimer”s Disease

OBJECTIVE: Leptin and insulin are important regulators for food intake and body weight.Metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes are associated with increased risk for the development of Alzheimer”s disease (AD).Our study aimed to explore plasma leptin levels and the association between leptin and diabetes-related factors (fasting glucose, fasting insulin and insulin resistance) in AD.
