OBJECTIVE: Senescence is considered as an important contributing factor in driving chronic obstruction pulmonary disease (COPD).This study aimed to review literature on the relationship between COPD and senescence.METHODS: Literature retrieval was made in PubMed by using keywords of ”COPD,senescence/aging, autophagy, oxidative stress”, and analysis of research findings was made.
