CIK Immunotherapy and Non-small Cell Lung Cancer in Geriatric Patients
OBJECTIVE: The study aimed to determine the long-term efficacy and effect on cellular immune functions of adjuvant immunotherapy with autologous cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells for geriatric patients with non-small cell lung cancer.METHODS: Seventy five geriatric patients with stage Ⅱ or Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer who had undergone pulmonary resection operation were randomly assigned to immunotherapy with CIK or no immunotherapy (control).Patients were followed up for over 5 years.
