Relationship between Serum Adiponectin, Cardiotrophin-1 and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy in Hypertensive Patients

BACKGROUND: Most studies have showed that left ventricular hypertrophy is an independent risk factor of cardiovascular event.Some hypertensive patients had satisfactorily controlled blood pressures, but left ventricular weight still increased, and circulating and local neuroendocrine hormone may play a more important role in the development of left ventricular hypertrophy.
