Mechanisms of Cognitive Dysfunction in Elderly Aggravated by Ischemia and Hypoxia

OBJECTIVE: Atherosclerosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) and other ischemic diseases in elderly patients are common age-related diseases.Ischemia and hypoxia are one of the characteristic pathological changes in these diseases that can cause or aggravate cognitive dysfunction.This study aimed to investigate potentialmechanisms of cognitive impairment caused by ischemia and hypoxia.
