Evaluation of Teach-back Method for Improving Health Literacy of Senior Citizens in Nursing Homes
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the effect of Teach-back method for the health literacy of senior citizens in nursing homes of Urumqi.METHODS: Ten out of twenty-seven registered nursing homes were randomly extracted according to their size, and the 10 nursing homes were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.Strict accordance with the inclusion criteria, 126 patients in the experimental group and 134 patients in the control group of each nursing home were selected.The experimental group took Teach-back and peer education methods, and the control group took the peer education method, and the duration was 6 months.
