Relationship between Polymorphisms in p38beta MAPK and Pre-diabetes in Individuals of Han Chinese Descent
OBJECTIVE: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between p38beta MAPK gene polymorphisms and pre-diabetes in individuals of Han Chinese descent.METHODS: A total of 1,466 non-consanguineous Han Chinese individuals were enrolled in the study.Mass spectrometry was performed to detect three haplotype-tagging single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of p38beta MAPK.Logistic regression analysis was performed to compare the difference in risk of pre-diabetes and to evaluate the interaction between genotypes and risk factors.
