Ankle Brachial Index and Pulse Wave Velocity is Associated with Subclinical Kidney Damage in Community Based Han Chinese

OBJECTIVE: Our study aimed to explore whether the Ankle Brachial index (ABI) and brachial-ankle Pulse Wave Velocity (baPWV) are associated with subclinical kidney damage in community based Han Chinese.METHODS: A total of 2,127 subjects (860 men and 1267 women) aged 60 years and over were recruited in Beijing.Subclinical kidney damage was defined as urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) ≥30mg/g.BaPWV was divided by quartile.Logistic regression wad used to determine odd ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) of ABI and baPWV with subclinical kidney damage.
