Postprandial Hypotension: Clinical Characteristics in the Very Old Chinese Male Patients

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to assess the characteristics of postprandial hypotension (PPH) in the very old Chinese male patients.METHODS: A total of 349 male patients were recruited in this study.They were divided into two groups according to their different ages.Group 1 was the general old group consisting of 163 cases (aged between 65～80), and group 2 was the very old patients group of 186 cases (aged over 80).The changes of blood pressure after meal were assessed by ambulatory blood pressure monitoring every 15 minutes.The baseline clinical data were also recorded.
